McKen Hunting operates "Area 23" and “Antler Ridge.” These two hunting areas are located near Yorkton, Saskatchewan, Canada. Yorkton is a city with a population of about 17,000. Yorkton is north of Minot, North Dakota, and is about 175 miles north of the U.S. – Canada border. In terms of geography, the area is considered to be “parkland” because it features a mixture of bushes and shrubs interspersed with prairie and marshes. The trees are primarily aspen or poplar, while there are a variety of shrubs, with the most common being willow. The terrain is slightly rolling. It is a prime agricultural area where both grain and livestock are produced. It is also a prime area for hunting geese and ducks. In addition to being on the migratory flyway there are plenty of local geese and ducks. Yorkton has a well-maintained airport, but there is no scheduled commercial passenger service. Websites:
